PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

  • Requires PADI/SSI Open Water certification. If you don't have it, we can help certify you. 

  • Easy access by swimming out from shore. No boat ride needed.

Description

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification builds on your scuba skills and confidence from the Open Water course. It's not for advanced divers, but for those who want to explore more underwater activities. You'll learn underwater navigation, try a deep dive, and can pick up to 3 specialty dives.  This certification allows you to dive deeper, educates on the marine ecosystem and how to safely interact with it and opens doors to further diving specializations.

We run this 2 day course weekly 10am to 4pm Wednesday to Thursday. If you can't find a course that matches your availability, please contact us directly to see if we can accommodate you. 

​

The reef is shallow up to 6m with easy shore swim-up access.  Our meeting point is a short 10-minute taxi ride whether you are coming from Cozumel ferry terminal, downtown Cozumel or Puerto Maya cruise ship terminal.

Use your other courses as specialty dives

You can take the following courses and use them as your Advanced Open Water specialty dives. Due to overlapping course materials, you can complete multiple courses in a shorter time with a discount.

Bundling with one of the above, you will save 1 day and get a 10% discount.  Finish all 3 courses in just 4 days (Wednesday to Saturday) with a 20% discount. Please contact us to book.

Please bring
  • Bathing Suit 
  • Towel 
  • Long sleeve T-shirt or rash guard. Do NOT wear sunscreen or skincare products prior to diving. Even 'reef safe" ones have non-biodegradable compounds that damage corals.
  • Reusable water bottle

Cancellation Policy

  • 100% cancellation fee if cancelled 1 day or less before start
    35% cancellation fee if cancelled 7 days or less before start

​

Bad Weather Policy

​Safety is the most important when diving or snorkeling. When the north winds are too strong, the Cozumel harbormaster closes the port to all underwater activities, cancelling your dive.  If the dive is canceled, updates will be sent to participants via email or WhatsApp as soon as possible, with options provided to either reschedule your course or receive a refund.
