Description

The PADI Reef Fish Identification course is for scuba divers who want to learn more about the amazing variety of fish they see underwater. It teaches divers how to identify different fish families and species, as well as fish survey techniques and strategies.

You'll learn how their population numbers can teach us about the overall health of the  marine ecosystem and about the conservation efforts to increase their populations.  This course is perfect for divers who want to get more out of their dives by understanding the underwater world around them.

We run this course weekly, 10am to 4pm, Saturday to Monday. If you can't find a course that matches your availability, please contact us directly to see if we can accommodate you.

The reef is shallow up to 6m with easy shore swim-up access.  Our meeting point is a short 10-minute taxi ride whether you are coming from Cozumel ferry terminal, downtown Cozumel or Puerto Maya cruise ship terminal.

Safety is the most important when diving or snorkeling. When the north winds are too strong, the Cozumel harbormaster closes the port to all underwater activities, cancelling your dive.  If the dive is canceled, updates will be sent to participants via email or WhatsApp as soon as possible, with options provided to either reschedule your course or receive a refund.
